Dr. Ashok Surana graduated from Dr. R. Ahmad Dental college, Kokata in 1987, stood 1st in All India Entrance Examination for admission to Post Graduate courses in 1989. He completed his Masters in 1992 in Orthodontics from Government Dental College, Ahmedabad.
Dr. Ashok Surana became Board Certified Orthodontist in 2005. He is a diplomat of Indian Board Of Orthodontics and was elected to Post of Director in 2013, presently he is the Chairman of Indian Board of Orthodontics. He has presented numerous scientific and clinical papers in Dental and Orthodontic Conferences. He also won the best clinical paper award at 46th Indian Orthodontic Conference, 2011. He has conducted many continued Dental Education Programs. He has been a Key Note Speaker in National / International Dental and Specialty Conferences.
Dr. Ashok Surana is the Past President of Indian Dental Association, Kolkata City Branch was the organizing secretary of 49th Indian Orthodontic Conference that was held in November, 2014 at Kolkata and he is also a charter member of Rotary club of Kolkata, Chowringhee. Dr. Ashok Surana maintains a successful private practice restricted to Orthodontist at LIFE LINE DENTAL CLINIC at Wood Street and Lake Road, Kolkata. He is consultant and one of the directors of SMILE & PROFILE, also consultant Orthodontist at Calcutta Medical Research Institute.
